It’s hard to perfect a skincare routine when you are continuously bombarded by the vast amount of trendy new products with promises to revitalise your skin, but much to my surprise, one product has me in a grip hold and has been a staple since the day I clicked ‘buy’.
The Power of Blue Orchid Oil
If you’d had asked me 3 months ago whether I thought it was possible to effectively eliminate dull skin and unevenness, I would have laughed in your face. Here I am, sat three months later admiring the glow and reduction of hyperpigmentation- all thanks to Clarins Blue Orchid Oil. Made from 100% plant extracts this facial oil does not only have a beautiful fragrance, but also key antioxidants and vitamins needed to give your skin the care it needs. Infused with Blue Orchid Extract for soothing and moisture replenishment, Rosewood Oil to improve elasticity, Patchouli Oil to balance the skin and Hazelnut Oil to enhance the skin's natural barrier, this oil works wonders for dehydrated or stressed skin. The light, non-greasy texture absorbs quickly, leaving skin soft, radiant, and revitalised. Perfect for dry or sensitive skin, it enhances your skincare ritual with its calming fragrance and promotes a healthy, glowing complexion with each use.

How to apply
This is another incredibly tricky, yet vital element that often gets overlooked as people assume by drowning themselves in the oil at night, your skin will miraculously appear flawless. As easy and efficient that would be, that is simply not the case. To begin, please don’t use a pool of oil, your skin may be dry but using this much could actually cause your skin to become excessively greasy and negate what we’re aiming for! A few drops of this miracle is plenty. When it comes to applying, warm the oil up in your hands and apply straight after cleansing and toning- this way the product can be properly absorbed into the skin.
It doesn’t stop there though, as this saviour is also incredibly versatile and can be used both am/pm to ensure you can accommodate it in your routine to fulfil your skin’s needs.
How I include it in my routine
After applying the Hydrating Toning Lotion to balance my skin’s pH and remove any last traces of impurities, I apply a few drops of the Blue Orchid Oil. I use my gua sha and face roller to depuff and sculpt the face, then lock in all that hydration with the Hydra-Energizing Cream. This lightweight yet powerful moisturiser deeply quenches the skin, leaving it plump and glowing by morning. It helps keep my complexion hydrated throughout the night, so I wake up with smooth, refreshed skin.

Hydrating Blue Orchid ReBoost Hydra-
Why it’s different
Retailed at £45.00 this product is on the higher end of the scale, but I have no hesitation in saying it’s completely worth it. While other brands market various products that fulfil the needs of the skin’s daily requirements, Blue Orchid Oil manages that alone and goes above and beyond. Ultimately, the price reflects its luxury, you are paying for a product that manages to last an eternity (3 months and I have just under half left!) while rejuvenating the skin- you’re not buying three different serums and oils all claiming to help boost glow, you’re investing in a timeless concoction that will leave you unable to resist.
